So, as promised (and mostly I’m sooo in love with my new stuff and a big show off), here’s all the stuff I bought off Jbox.
Okay, so I may have gone a littleee overboard with the online shopping but in my defense, everything was too damned cute and shipping cost was soo reasonable! Let’s have a closer look at the stuff I got, shall we?
As you can see, there’s plenty of stuff from bento boxes to pretty little dividers and egg molds. I’ve yet to try out the egg molds and the tulip sausage cutter but I can’t wait to. You really have to give the Japanese credit for being so damned creative- I mean shaping eggs into hearts and stars, who would have thought? My favourite item of the lot would have to be the bento book, hands down. I can’t read a word of Japanese, save for the few characters that resemble Mandarin words but the pictures of the gorgeously presented bento box is enough to inspire me to want to run into the kitchen and whip up something too damned cute.
Because everything has its place in my house, here is my new bento stuff in their rightful place along with the rest of my humble bento collection. As you can see, the drawer’s kinda full so I guess that means no more buying of bento stuff (yeah right, we’ll see how long that lasts).
So there you have it, my bento collection!
Now excuse me while I head back into the kitchen to have another adoring look at it.

Hi
Just curious if it is cheaper to get it from JBox than Daiso?
Agapejen // June 9, 2009 at 8:13 am |
Sorry, realised you are not residing in Singapore… hmm.. Daiso is a $2 shop – everything goes for $2 and they sell some of yout Bento items..

Thanks, snooky doodle
Hey Agapejen. I actually am in Singapore
It’s definitely cheaper to get it at Daiso if you can find it there. The last time I was there, I saw the egg molds, the silicon hearts and the little sauce containers. So those are definitely cheaper but Daiso carries quite a limited collection. I love that place though, can never get enough of it

Hi Laureen,
Looks like you can never stop indulging in something if you are really into it?? Just like me, can’t stop buying baking wares even though I have them! I try to shop at Daiso, so I’ll not burnt a big hole in my pocket.
You’ve got yourself very beautiful collection. Don’t stop! Hahaha… Else, life has no meaning!

Hey Jane. Haha I’m pretty good with not shopping the old fashioned way- don’t have the patience for it and I go out of my way to avoid crowds. But come online shopping, all my willpower goes out the window! I’m trying to curb all my online shopping though so we’ll see how that goes

hey Jaime
Heh yeah I have to admit, having a gorgeous box’s half the fun of eating out of a bento
